It's our first stay in the Gard - this space is a lovely introduction to overnights in the area ... birds calling; gentle wind whistling during the evening; abundance of Spring flowers at their peak all contributed to a relaxing week here. Congrats on creating an inviting space that felt like a 'home'.

C&J, May 2013

Our second stay in this lovely apartment and beautiful village. We were made really welcome by Sali. Thanks for a lovely holiday (again!).

L&RC, June 2013

Back again ! That first view of the village nestling in the hillside is still magical! Having the car again meant we could explore less familiar roads - we even found our way back to the Domaine de L'Orviel for a wine top up!! The market at Uzès on a Wednesday is worth a look. The mistral tried it's mischief but didn't affect us greatly. Have rested and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thank you.

H&M, June 2013

This has been a lovely relaxing week in a beautiful village. Everyone here is very friendly and we can recommend Le Grenier d'Aladin restaurant which serves excellent food, the bar is very relaxed and the crêpes in the crêperie are amazing! Also ahd a great lunch at Les Délices du Lebanon in Sommières - great meze, excellent friendly service and good value! If visiting Les Arénes de Nimes (Amphitheatre) be aware that during part of July it is set up for summer concerts and so lots of scaffolding inside - but still impressive ! The apartment is well equipped - the air conditioning unit has been well used ! Special mention to Sali who has been so helpful - thank you so much.

S&PD, July 2013

This is a lovely, calm and peaceful town with wonderful fig aromas and cicada sounds. We had a very relaxing week in this lovely accommodation. Everything you need is here and there's so much space. Quite delightful! Sali is very friendly and accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Our highlights for the week are: Nimes, Uzès, Le Pont du Gard (river bathing), Labeaume, Ardeche (river bathing), Anduze pottery market, Aigues-Mortes. We didn't have time for Montpellier- but we will be back! Thanks!

E&GD, July 2013

As promised last year, we have come back to see more of this marvellous region. Some of the highlights have been: the beautiful village of Saint-Guilem-le Désert set in it's rocky gorge (go early to avoid the crowds!); also the Roman City of Glanium and the lavender fields at the Abbaye of Sénanque. The little steam train from Anduze is great for a half day trip out. The weather has been stunning, very hot and with a spectacular thunderstorm. All in all a great week away!

S&SO'C, July 2013

We can certainly see why people keep returning to this area. The view from the window whilst writing this is enough! A beautiful village with all you really need and definitley a genuine taste of France. We'd recommend the restaurant and crêperie in the village and the Marypol just outside does lovely food and a warm welcome. Out and about we found Montclus particularly enjoyable, spending a whole afternoon swimming in the river beside a lavender field. Great week !

C&CS, Aug 2013

We rented both apartments for a week and totally enjoyed it, we really relaxed. Messing about in the splash pool, BBQ's and lots of visits to the local bar for a drink in the evening. Beautiful setting and very quiet. If you want some town life and places to eat and shop, Uzès is great and only a short drive away.

Owen family, Aug 2013

We enjoyed our week in Vézénobres. Lovely village and nice people. Good food, good wine and too much see in only one week. We will be back!

C&J-ML, Sept 2013

A week is just not enough time to explore this area of Southern France. The scenery, the food, the people, but particularly Vézénobres itself has really captured our hearts. We don't really want to leave in the morning. Big thank you to Sali for her help and warm welcome. Hope to come back again some day.

J&KL, Sept 2013

Vezenobres really does draw us back like a magnet - fourth year now. We drove down for a change and saw a lot more of France as a result. Visited local haunts, stopped in Uzes for the first time (to be revisited!) and stocked up on local wine with able assistance, to take home. The pool as ever, cooled us well in the very hot weather and now we say adieu for another year. Thank you both very much!

H & M, June 2012

We enjoyed the views, the weather and the bedroom balcony. Vezenobres is a beautiful village and the restaurant, bar and boulangerie can be recommended! We visited lots of river sites suitable for swimming and some gorgeous villages en route. We will certainly visit this area again!

S&LC, July 2012

Nous avons passe une belle semaine. Un village superbe mis a part la condition physique obligatoire ppur tout visiter. L'appartement quand a lui est confortable et mignon.

FB, July 2012

Lovely flat in a very friendly village with very many villages and historic sites to visit. Excellent restaurant, boulangerie and bar - we hope to come back!

L&RC, Aug, 2012

We spent a lovely relaxing week in this great house.

R&BJ, Sept 2012

"We really loved our stay, the apartment had everything we needed. The village is lovely and a great base for the area. The pool and BBQ area are fabulous. Glad we took the 2 apartments for the week, we utilised the space upstairs every day. Thank you for our real South of France experience."

C&SP, D&MB, Oct 2011

"Third visit - and it feels welcome each time! Have not ventured far - we never feel we need to, but we were fascinated by the pink salt near Aigues Mortes in the Camargue. Thank you again for the opportunity to stay here!"

MB & HZ, June 2011

"Un endroit charmant, une région très intéressante, la semain a été très agréable; les quelques ne nous ont pas empechés de découvrir quelques sites magnifiques et le soleil est vite revenu afin que nous puissions profiter de la piscine. Cerise sur le gateau, l'appartement est très joli, bien décoré et très calme!"

V&ND, July 2011

"Loved Vézénobres and The Gard, so much to see, do and enjoy. Uzès market on Saturday is great fun and probably the best French market we've been to. The weather was great and we had a lot fun cycling around the area. So much more to enjoy – we hope to come back soon!"

A&CW, April, 2010

"Enjoyed every moment of our stay. The apartment is great – a real home from home. On arrival, what a surprise to find flowers and champagne as a gift from Julie as this was our honeymoon. The weather was very hot every day, the area as a whole is beautiful. Some of the walks were pretty tough in the heat, but always worthwhile for the views. Loved Uzès, Nimes, Anduze, Saint Jean du Gard for great food and hospitality."

T&AG, August, 2010

Weather was very good. This place has everything you need and the bed is very comfy! The pool is an added benefit for cooling off. Very relaxing and quiet here and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant – everyone in the village is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely relaxing break!

D&KP, August 2010

A fantastic little village. Friendly neighbours and wonderful scenery! Close to all you would ever want to see, GARD, Provence and Camargue all just a small drive away. And why not cycle in the surroundings – it is worth it! Spend your evenings in the little house. All the comforts you would expect at home, but just outside the window, the South of France. Rain or shine, a brilliant place for a holiday!
